A black chalkboard on one side with hand painted lines of 40 different colors to choose from. Yes, you can use chalk on this side. Because the lines are hand-painted, there will be some minor imperfections. Nothing you can see clearly, so don't worry. Most people will assume these were printed on by a laser. We use the highest quality acrylic paints. After many tests, we have found that they last a very long time. The back side of the board is a silver aluminum that has a special coating to allow for dry erase markers. Think of it as a whiteboard 2.0. Wipe it off with a wet wipe, and it doesn't stain as easily as a traditional white board. The frame is made of the highest and strongest quality metal frame so it is sturdier than most tactical boards out there.
