Currently coaching at the Michigan Hawks (ECNL), Javi previously served as the assistant coach for Detroit City FC (USL Championship). After playing at DCFC in 2015 and 2016, Javi came back in 2018 during the club's transition year from NPSL to NISA, and continued into the transition to the USL Championship. At DCFC, he was the head coach for Detroit City FC U23 (MWPL). Javi also previously coached at Hamtramck City FC (UPSL), Gardner-Webb University (NCAA D1), and Ashford University (NAIA). Besides coaching, Javi has a YouTube channel with over 175,000 subscribers where he shares educational content such as training sessions, college recruiting, tactical analysis, and more. Through this channel, Javi was able to learn videography, photography, social media, and building an online presence.
